Flint Water Could Be Discolored Due To Valve Work

The City of Flint Water Department is warning that the water from your tap may be discolored temporarily while valve work is being done.

Officials say that there is nothing to worry about, and that running the water for a few minutes will clear up any discoloration in the water.

The map below shows some of the affected areas.  The blue shading shows where the work is being done, and the yellow shading shows where the work has been completed.

The first time that the water department did this type of work, people were shocked at the color of their water.
