Flint own boxing star Claressa Shields is that much closer to her Olympic dreams. The 17-year-old won the American Boxing Confederation's Women's Elite Continental Championships in Canada last weekend.

Shields beat the top female boxers in the world to win the title. Claressa is back home training in Flint, but leaves for Olympic training camp next week. She will compete in China in May for a chance at the 2012 London games. Wish her luck!
