Even if stuntin' is a habit, it should never be this serious. A man in New Haven, Florida was robbed and killed in his own home over the weekend only to have his possessions used as props for a rap show. Joseph Edward Gomes-Brandon, Jr., 18, and Jonathan Olin Felix, 21 are accused of killing 21-year-old Tyler Macklin in his home on Wednesday (May 11) for nothing more than cash, guns and jewelry to flash at their rap shows.

Gomes-Brandon, who goes by the rap name "Waxx," and Felix, who goes by "Killa," broke into the home of Macklin, shot the victim in the neck and took his wallet, jewelry and a gun owned by Macklin. The men targeted Macklin in order to be able to flash the cash and jewelry during their local upcoming rap show. In one of the dumbest moves criminals could make, Gomes-Brandon and Felix then proceeded to flaunt the stolen goods during their performance the next night in a club and post videos of the performance on Facebook.

The plot to rob Macklin was originally the idea of Felix and Gomes-Brandon's friend, 20-year-old Dylan Kindred. Kindred drove the getaway vehicle for the crime but maintains that he never entered Macklin's house.

Gomes-Brandon and Felix appeared before a Polk County judge on Monday, May 16, were formally charged with one count of first-degree murder, armed robbery and home invasion each and are being held without bail. Kindred is also being held on one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery but he could get his charge upgraded to murder depending on how the investigation pans out.
