A Florida school is threatening to kick out a black student over her natural hair.  The school is claiming that her hair is a 'distraction' but the student feels that she is being bullied.  You be the judge on who's right or wrong.

Vanessa VanDyke, 12 years old, is being threaten with expulsion if she doesn't cut and style her hair.  Vanessa feels that the teasing from students is a form of bullying and the school hasn't done anything about it.  Either way, this situation is gaining news coverage across the country.

VanDyke's mother spoke with the local news voicing her displeasure with the school in handling the bullying.

"There have been people teasing her about her hair, and it seems to me that they're blaming her."

Vanessa spoke out about all the attention she's been receiving and how it is effecting her.

"I'm depressed about leaving my friends and people that I've known for a while, but I'd rather have that than the principals and administrators picking on me and saying that I should change my hair."

The Florida private school student is in a tough position because her education at the school is in jeopardy.  At the same time her physical features are being placed on blast.  I think the Florida student should enroll into another school and keep it pushing.  The private school in Orlando should have stopped the bullying from the students. The school is placing a student on blast because she likes to wear her hair natural?  Move on people, move on.
