GameStop has started the Black Friday discussions early this year with the announcement that they plan to be open on Thanksgiving.

They made the announcement this week, saying, "Many of our store associates and guests have asked for this."

This is a pretty sharp change in policy for GameStop, considering that just two years ago they announced that they would stay closed for the holiday.

Now they are coming under fire for deciding to be open on Thanksgiving.  They have not issued official store hours, only saying that it would be a shortened day.

The major problem with this whole Black Friday controversy is that everyone will complain about stores being open on Thanksgiving. Everyone will say that we have no respect for holidays or family time.

UNTIL, the one thing they want is listed on some unbelievable Black Friday sale.  Then those same people will complain about how long the line is as they wait to hand over their money.
