The 2012 Olympic Games in London will see two athletes from Genesee County as Geena Gall from Grand Blanc and Flint's Claressa Shields get ready to compete.

Gall finished in second place in the women’s 800 meter event at the U.S. Track and Field Olympic trails on Monday night.  The Grand Blanc native ran the 800 meter dash in under two minutes wining the race in dramatic fashion as well.  Gall, a former University of Michigan Wolverine,  made a big push from behind at the home stretch after she had fallen back as far as 5th.

We want everyone to support Claressa and Geena by getting a trending topic on Twitter.  Everyone tweet good luck messages to them with the hashtag #FlintOlympians.  Check out the Club 93.7 Twitter timeline for an example.
