General Motors announced that they plan to invest $20 Million at the Bay City Powertrain plant this year.

The money will be used to support the production of cam rough machining operations for future engine programs.  Right now the plant in Bay City produces engine parts that are used in Chevy, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles.

The money should create about 15 new hourly jobs at the plant, as well as some temporary work.

This investment is part of the bigger, Billion dollar project that GM is putting in place throughout the country.
