Lieutenant  Brian Rice has been acquitted of involuntary manslaughter.

Judge Barry Williams has acquitted Lieutenant Brian Rice of the three remaining charges in the Freddie Gray case. Two of the charges (second degree murder and one misconduct charges) where dismissed during the case. The remaining three cases (involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment, and misconduct in office) were acquitted by Judge Williams on Monday.

The scene of the arrest was chaotic, and prosecutors claim that not seat belting Freddie Gray set off a number of events that lead to his death.

Judge Williams says not seat belting Gray did not result in his death.
