Nearly 500 Flint residents hit the streets Sunday for the second straight year to 'Stop The Violence.'

The parade started on Pierson Rd and worked its way down to Berston Field House, where a celebration was held.

The event was organized by the Community Take Back Organization, and drew a great turnout this year.  The homicide numbers are down in Flint for the year, but we have still experienced more than our share of senseless crimes.

The theme this year was 'Celebration of Life', and it definitely fit the mood of the crowd.  All of the participants realize that positive events like this are the key to turning the negative image of Flint around.
