Watch the First Documented Hurricane Sandy Weatherman ‘Fail’

Weatherman Peter Doocy was standing out on Rehoboth Beach in Delaware, showing how intense the ocean was becoming before the storm even arrived when something went wrong.

Unlike the usual hurricane bloopers, he didn’t get bowled over by the wind — he got his foot stuck in a sand trap. If this were a 1960s sci-fi film he would’ve slowly sunk to his sandy (get it?) death in front of our horrified eyes. Fortunately, it’s not, so instead he just sort of struggled for a little bit to get free. Stay inside, folks. (See the video here.}
