In March, Kanye West tweeted that he was "inspired by his visit" to IKEA, and in a new interview with BBC Radio 1, 'Ye explicitly says he wants to work with the popular furniture store. However, an IKEA spokesperson says the company is turning down the collaboration opportunity - for now, at least.

According to CNBC, the spokesperson says, "At IKEA we are constantly curious about different people, companies, artists and events around the world. To have these connections and inspiring meetings is an important way for us to find new ways to create a better everyday life for the many people."

The IKEA employee continues, "Although we are really flattered by Kanye West's high interest in IKEA and the speculation around a joint venture, we have no plans to collaborate at this point in time."

Welp - looks like the furniture game is just another glass ceiling that Kanye will have to break through. Don't be surprised if the 39-year-old Chicago native eventually finesses a collab with IKEA despite the Swedish company's initial rejection.

And even though the spokesperson dismissed any notion of a collab, IKEA Australia took to its Facebook page and joked about working with Kanye - or was it somewhat serious? Scroll down to view the post.

In other recent Kanye news, the Life of Pablo rapper just announced a monster collab album with Drake. At OVO Fest 2016 in Toronto, Yeezy told the crowd, “Toronto I got one question for you. Is y’all ready for this album? I’m not talking about Pablo. I wasn’t talking about Views. I wanna ask y’all right now, are y’all ready for this album?”

He then pointed at Drizzy - implying that the Louis Vuitton Don and the 6 God have a project in the works. Keep it locked to XXL for more Kanye West news.
