A new bill introduced in the House of Representatives would eliminate Daylight Saving Time in Michigan.

Daylight Saving Time might be coming to an end here in Michigan thanks to a new bill. The bill would let Michigan opt out of Daylight Savings Time and would also put the entire state under the Eastern Standard Time (currently there are four countries in the U.P. that are on the Central Time Zone).

Rep. Peter Lucido said that Daylight Saving Time used to benefit farmers in the past, but now the concept is outdated and not needed.
