Flint Schools decided to sell the Sarvis Center to the Flint Cultural Center to help deal with their $16 Million dollar deficit problem.  With a sale price of only $150,000 though, you have to ask if it will even make a difference.

The building costs around $200,000 a year to operate, and was not making money for the Flint Schools, so the savings alone will help.

The main question I have though, is why did they sell it for so little?  It's a healthy building with a great location right?  Doesn't it seem like they could have gotten a lot more money for it?

That is the same question that most of the public are asking too, but the Flint Cultural Center officials say that they will immediately put the building to use.
