This is shocking news. Janet Jackson has reportedly separated from her husband, Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana.

According to the U.K.’s Daily Mail and New York Post’s Page Six, the couple agreed to go their separate ways after five years of marriage and welcoming their first child together, a baby boy named Eissa Al Mana, in January.

“They're both busy people but determined to be good parents, even if they're apart,” an insider told the Daily Mail. “It's amicable and Eissa will stay with his mother, who is basing herself in London.”

However, Page Six is reporting that Janet and Wissam were splitting up because of her husband's lack of concern over reports that the Jackson Family matriarch, Katherine Jackson, was being abused allegedly by her nephew and caregiver Trent Lamar Jackson.

“That's when Janet made her decision that there was no turning back," said a source. “She was worried about her mother -- and Wissam showed little to no concern.”

Nevertheless, the couple has managed to keep their private life out of the tabloids for several years. They met in 2010 and two years later they announced they were engaged. Shortly after that, they were married in a very private ceremony.

In January, Janet gave birth to a baby boy, despite some prior complications. Thankfully, the pop icon and newborn are healthy and happy.

“Janet and her baby are doing well. She has hired help at home and her husband been with her through it all,” a source told E! News. “It was a difficult pregnancy but she is very blessed and has a healthy baby. She has great doctors. A select few have seen her baby. She is so excited to be a mom.”

Both Janet's mom Katherine and sister Rebbie Jackson have seen the baby, while Wissam has not been photographed publicly since their son's birth.

Reps for Janet Jackson had no comment on the matter.
