JAY-Z has been in a number of historic beefs during his illustrious rap career, most notably with Nas. In Part 2 of Hov's interview with the Rap Radar podcast with Elliott Wilson and Brian ‘B.Dot’ Miller, the hip-hop icon talked about his past rap feuds and why he is no longer beefing with rappers.

"I don't want to have rap beef, I'm checked out of that part of the game," he said when discussing his past disagreements with rappers. On his beef with Fat Joe, which started back in the early 2000s, JAY said it over nothing. "It wasn't even like a big thing between Fat Joe and I, we just really talked about that in two minutes," he said. The two titans rap beef was officially squashed when JAY-Z appeared on the remix of Fat Joe's club anthem, "All the Way Up."

However, one feud JAY-Z was unable to settle was with the late Mobb Deep rapper Prodigy, who died back in June from complications related to his sickle cell anemia.

"I had super respect for Prodigy. In order for me to really have a problem, in order for me to really spar with you, I gotta respect you somewhere," he said. "It's just sad you know, blessings to his family."

"Rumi is our favorite poet, so it was for our daughter," said the Roc Nation mogul.
"Sir was like, man, come out the gate. He carries himself like that. He just came out, like, Sir."
