Jay-Z could be facing another lawsuit over a sample he used in his 2000 hit, “Big Pimpin”.
According to Rolling Stone, Jay could be taken to court by the nephew of Egyptian composer Baligh Hamady, who claims Jay’s track ruined his uncle’s composition “Khosara, Khosara”.

But Jay-Z’s people claim he bought the license for the original track. Other Egyptian musicians have already tried to file lawsuits claiming they have a valid license for “Khosara, Khosara”.
The nephew wants he and his family to be “properly compensated” for use of the song. He’s demanding a cut of Jay-Z’s profits dating back to 2000, as well as a portion of his revenue from live shows.
