Jeezy's been reatlively quiet in 2016, and for good reason – the thug motivator just announced Trap or Die 3 is on the way. Jeezy made the announcement via Instagram, and in the video above he even previews new music.

The Atlanta rapper's third entry to the Trap or Die series will be slightly different as he says it'll be an album instead of a mixtape. Jeezy may have teased this being the end of series, or perhaps more, in his announcement too.

"You already know I came in this game hard as a mothafucka and that's how we going out nigga," Jeezy says in the video. "Trap or Die 3 nigga, trust me. I'm announcing it. Trap or Die 3: The Album."

The original Trap or Die mixtape was Jeezy's breakthrough release in the hip-hop world. The project is still regarded as one of the best tapes released under DJ Drama's iconic Gangsta Grillz banner. It also dropped ahead of Jeezy's major label debut, Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101, and his former group Boyz N Da Hood's self-titled LP. Both of those albums dropped in summer 2005.

The last project fans got from Jeezy was 2015's Church in the Streets, his eighth studio album. Earlier this year, he released a single called "Magic City Monday" with Future and 2 Chainz. It's possible that song will end up appearing on Trap or Die 3. And while Jeezy did not let any more details about the album slip just yet, DJ Folk tweeted that the late Bankroll Fresh will have a verse on the LP. You can hear a preview of that verse above.

In addition, Jeezy has added new merch to his online shop, including his classic Snowman tee. Check out what he's selling right here.
