Jim Jones is making boss moves. The Harlem rapper and businessman was recently named a minority owner of an arena football team.

Last Thursday (Dec. 7), Capo was introduced as one of the newest minority owners of the Richmond Roughriders in Virginia. Roughriders owner Gregg Fornario said the addition of Jones to the team will allow the team to build their brand.

At the press conference, Jones extended a job offer to Colin Kaepernick who didn’t play in the NFL this year possibly due to his kneeling protest during the National Anthem in 2016. “He can come here and keep his skills sharp, set some records,” said Jones (via Richmond Times-Depatch). “Help put this team on the map.”

Jones was exposed to indoor football last year when he performed at halftime during a Roughriders game in Richmond Coliseum. “Last year, I got to perform here in the championship game, and the energy was just overwhelming,” Jones told the media. “I bring a lot of things to the table here, but mostly my notoriety. Music, movies, television, film and videos.

“We have a big platform when it comes to hip-hop, and hip-hop is the leading moneymaker in media today," he continued.

After the press conference, the "We Fly High" rapper said that his job offer is still on the table. He feels that Kaepernick can motivate the kids who attend the indoor games as well as the players. In the end, it will be a win-win situation if Kaep accepts the job.

The Roughriders will begin their second season in March. Their first home game is March 31. Salute to Jim Jones.
