The cyclone that is the Taylor Swift-Kanye West-Kim Kardashian feud has picked up another pop star in its onward sweeping path, with Justin Bieber posting the above photo to Instagram in which he throws shade while wearing shades and does it with spectacular nonchalance. That Kanye and Bieber would be Facetime pals isn't all that surprising; the two did work on a "Runaway Love" remix back in 2010 as part of West's G.O.O.D. Fridays series, but it's the caption that will have the casual social media scroller spitting on their morning coffee. "Taylor Swift what up," Bieber wrote below a screengrab of a video call with West. Shots fired?

To make some of these allegiances a bit clearer, Bieber's ex Selena Gomez is best friends with Swift, and following the release of the video in which Kanye does in fact run parts of "Famous" by Taylor, Gomez took to Twitter (below) to denounce the whole drama, writing, "This industry is so disappointing yet the most influential smh." So beyond any artistic kinship Bieber might feel toward Kanye, there is personal motive for him to side with the West's. Add to it that Bieber's Purpose tour merch has a very Yeezus vibe and that Kanye called "What Do You Mean" his favorite song of last year, and the connections grow stronger, even if the singer's sudden pettiness above came without telegraph.
