Days after Kanye West was confirmed as a guest feature on XXXTentacion’s posthumous album Skins, the collaborative track “One Minute” has leaked. The album is slated to drop officially this Friday (Dec. 7), with Yeezy also offering a limited edition merch collection in the 2017 XXL Freshman's honor.

“One Minute” features Ye doing an extensive verse, with the late rapper handling the chorus and interlude. Throughout West’s explosive verse, he runs through a slew of topics, including fame, love, hate, success, stereotypes and life after death. Notably, he also addresses the domestic violence allegations X was facing prior to his murder, with fans interpreting the lyrics as coming to X’s defense.

“So much hate at the top, it's a lonely place/When you find out the opps ain't the only snakes,” Ye spits, opening the track over a distorted guitar-laden instrumental. “And your spouse only know what you don't erase/The world only know you by your worst mistakes/So spazz on they ass, that's the only way/Smash on the gas down, Stoney, aye/Crash and come back with a swollen face/And when I'm on my way, X hold the gate.”

Near the end of the track, Ye continues speaking on X’s legacy, addressing the criminal charges the rapper was facing prior to his death.

“Now your name is tainted, by the claims they paintin'/The defendant is guilty, no one blames the plaintiff,” West continues. “Gotta say it in Layman’s terms, while you wait on arraignment /Cause if the jury say you did it, the payment is heinous/Give me one minute, my lady just fainted/My babies is crying, you understand what I'm sayin’?”

X then closes out the song with screamed vocals. The track in question, prior to Ye’s contribution, was shared on Instagram back in June, four days before he was fatally shot.

As revealed in phone recordings obtained by Pitchfork, while X was incarcerated, he addressed various alleged acts of violence and domestic abuse.

“I started fucking her up because she made one mistake,” he recalled during one of the calls, reflecting on a past incident. “And from there, the whole cycle went down. Now she’s scared. That girl is scared for her life. Which I understand.”
