On "Real Friends" from The Life of PabloKanye West spits, "I had a cousin that stole my laptop that I was fuckin' bitches on/Paid that nigga 250 thousand just to get it from him." Now, the UK's Daily Mail confirms the news in an interview with one of Kanye's family members.

Yeezy's cousin, Lawrence Franklin (who is not the cousin who forced 'Ye to cough up $250,000), gives an extensive interview with Daily Mail, in which he discusses the laptop fiasco in detail. Franklin explains how the video in question featured Kanye with an unknown, light-skinned African-American woman. The laptop was originally given away to a family member as a gift in 2012, and then it was lent to another family member.

Franklin talks about how Kanye stopped trusting his own family after the whole laptop situation. "The sex tape episode started his decline - he stopped trusting people," Franklin says. "At the end of the day if a member of your family had taken you for a quarter of a million dollars - so they can complete their own ambitions - who can you trust within your circle?"

He continues, "This was also around the time when his mother has just died and he takes a lot of responsibility for that. When you go from being a regular person to being a huge star - and having all of these mounting issues and being completely void of the normalcy that you once had - it's tough. Where do you go? Who do you trust at the end of the day?"

Another interesting tidbit is when Franklin discusses how Donda West probably wouldn't approve of Kanye's marriage to Kim Kardashian, because their families have completely different values.

"For the most part I don't look at the Kardashians as real people," Franklin says. "Kanye comes from a very family-orientated environment with roots and African American family lifestyle - you know family reunions with food and things like that. The Kardashians are the complete opposite of what's familiar in our community."
