Kanye West Reveals Inspiration for ‘T.L.O.P.’ Title Along With Admitting He’s $53 Million in Debt

Before Kanye West dropped his new album, The Life of Pablo, early this morning (Feb. 14), he had somewhat of an epiphany on Twitter, revealing the true meaning of his seventh LP's title and also stating that he is in a large hole financially.

West has been more active than ever on Twitter in the weeks leading up to the album release. But last night, before his performance on Saturday Night Live, things got real. Opening up to the Twitterverse about the true inspiration of his album title, West revealed that Pablo in the album title is actually a reference to the apostle Paul from the Bible (Pablo is Spanish for Paul).

"Paul ... The most powerful messenger of the first century... Now we stand here 20 centuries later... Because he was a traveler," he wrote. "He was a learned man not of the original sect so he was able to take the message to the rest of the world."

He also addressed Kirk Franklin facing persecution for appearing on the album typing, "Please forgive the profanity and give hugs and blessings to my brother Kirk for standing by me."

He later added, "All memes are wrong," referring to the Internet trying to guess the T.L.O.P. acronym before it was revealed. "The Life of Paul... The life of Pablo... Ultralight beams... Moms dads daughters sons stand up."

In somewhat of a puzzling reveal, West even announced that he has $53 million in debt. "I write this to you my brothers while still 53 million dollars in personal debt... Please pray we overcome... This is my true heart."

Here's to hoping T.L.O.P is as profitable as possible.
