Kanye West’s ‘Yeezus’ Tracklisting, ‘I Am a God’ Behind-the-Scenes Video Debuts
We are just days away from the second coming of Kanye West hits retail stores. The tracklisting for his new LP, 'Yeezus,' has been released and it's pretty much the same song list that was played at his New York listening session.
The album will only feature 10 tracks, which may be a little disappointing for fans who want to hear more from Yeezy.
According to reports, the collection features guest appearances from Frank Ocean, Hudson Mohawke, Kid Cudi, Justin Vernon and Chicago rappers Chief Keef and King L. Production duo Daft Punk produced three songs: 'On Site,' 'Black Skinhead' and 'I Am a God.'
Speaking of which, West posted a video snippet of him recording 'I Am a God.' In the clip, it shows the father-to-be having a conversation with the Almighty, himself.
"I just talked to Jesus / He said, 'What up, Yeezus?' / I said, 's--- I'm chillin' / Tryin' to stack these millions / I know He the Most High, but I am a close high / Mi casa, Su casa / That's our cosa nostra / Haann, I am a God," he raps.
After West recites his verse, he turns to veteran producer Rick Rubin, to get his thoughts on the lyrics.
"You should say, 'tryin' to make a billion,'" suggests Mike Dean, 'Ye's longtime collaborator. But Kanye says he likes "stackin' millions" better. Rubin agrees, stating that "stackin' millions is more relatable."
Kanye West's 'Yeezus' will arrive in stores June 18.
