In 2005 Kanye West had just dropped 'Late Registration', and was promoting the album on the BBC's Tim Westwood show.  'Ye dropped a freestyle over beats that he had produced that became an instant legend, but was locked away until the BBC just recently released it.

Mr. West went in over the beats for Game‘s 'Dreams,' Jay-Z‘s 'Encore' and Common‘s 'The Corner.'

Even though this was only recorded in 2005, it feels a lot older than that.  Kanye has completely switched his style since the 'College' series and his music doesn't seem to have that same heartfelt vibe anymore.  I understand that musicians evolve throughout their career, but I'll take this Kanye over the angry, insecure Kanye that we have right now.
