Flint mayor Karen Weaver made it clear that even though Flint is still battling the water crisis, she is with Hillary Clinton.

During the peak of the Flint Water Crisis media attention, both Democratic Presidential candidates came to Flint to talk about what needs to be done to fix the problem with lead in the water. Bernie Sanders held a town hall like meeting at a local church in Flint, and Hillary met with families, the Mayor, and other members of the community to come up with a solution to the crisis.

Now, I'm not trying to be a debbie downer, but nothing has been fixed and it probably won't be fixed for a very long time. You do have to respect though that two very busy candidates came to the city to discuss what needs to be fixed to keep our city clean and safe. Sure, anyone can say "Well they did it for the media attention!", but isn't that better than not coming at all *cough cough* Donald Trump.

Weaver was nothing but praise for Clinton during her DNC speech, and I can't say I disagree with anything she said. No matter who you vote for this November, you have to respect someone who took time out of their day to listen to other people's problems and concerns.
