Keke Palmer is bae. Whether the 22-year-old singer is rocking a pixie cut or slaying with long locks in a full-page spread for Maxim magazine, Palmer has got the look.

Before she was the babe we know of today, she started as a child actress playing opposite to Laurence Fishburne in Akeelah and the Bee. And after years of success, she landed the title role in Nickelodeon's True Jackson, VP. The show ran for three seasons and by the end, Palmer was the fourth highest-paid child star on television, beating Miley Cyrus, who was in Disney's Hannah Montana.

But that was far from the last record Palmer would break. She would go on to be the youngest to have her own talk show, Just Keke, and be the first African-American to play Cinderella on Broadway. Not to mention, her stellar skills channeling Chilli in CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. The triple-threat is also slated to star in FOX's horror series, Scream Queens, premiering on Sept. 22.

Every success story comes with some ups and downs. Palmer has been trying to break into the music industry but her first debut album, So Uncool, was met with low sales and her following three mixtapes didn't make much headway either. That's not stopping the stunner though. In August, the singer announced that she signed with Island Records (she was formerly with Atlantic) and is focusing on music once again.

As Palmer blossoms from a teeny bopper to a beautiful young woman, we're here to celebrate the belle with a heart of gold (she also does charity work with the Boys and Girls Foundation and the Embrace Girls Foundation).
