Kendrick Lamar is up for seven Grammy nominations at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards this year and his main competition in the rap category is Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. But it's still all love between the two. The Compton MC showed up to the awards ceremony red carpet in a blue suit and revealed he's still rooting for the Seattle duo.

“He’s a good dude and likewise he’s a great artist," Lamar states. The 'good kid, m.A.A.d city' creator said that he appreciates "being respected by someone who is respected.” Lamar has not revealed any official word on his next album, but said the Grammy experience inspired him to pen some bars to remind himself to live in the moment. "I just wrote down my ideas and about what I feel tonight,” he says.

The rapper is up for Album of the Year for 'good kid, m.A.A.d city.' He also has nominations in the categories for Best New Artist, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance and Best R&B Performance for a feature on Miguel's How Many Drinks.'
