Grammy-nominated rapper Kendrick Lamar continues to promote his celebrated album, 'good kid, mA.A.d. city,' with another great video for his song, 'Sing About Me.'

In the Darren Romanelli-directed clip, the Compton native reflects on his life and his legacy in the rap game. The video intercuts with scenes of graphic artist Eddie Peake creating a mural using lyrics from the reflective song. At the end, K.Dot observes the finished artwork and spits a freestyle to the visual piece.

In the opening scene, a thought-provoking message is displayed:

When the lights shut off, an artist’s dream is that their work will stand the test of time. The ones that influence our culture are the ones we most remember. Here, two powerful creative forces come together to elevate the status quo and lay ground to their legacy. This is their poetry. Sing about them. This is part one.”

Part 2 of Kendrick Lamar's conceptual video will premiere in January 2014.
