Kevin Gates Sentenced To 180 Days In Jail For Kicking Female During Performance

Prosecutors suggested Gates be sentenced 60 days for the assault, but the judge upped the time to 180 days in jail and 1 year of probation.

Kevin Gates is a rapper that always speaks his mind and has no problem putting fans in check, but now that is coming back to haunt him. The rapper has been sentenced to 180 days in jail and 1 year of probation after he kicked a fan during his performance.

The assault occurred in Lakeland, FL last year and shows Gates kicking the female in the chest after she grabbed his shorts twice.

Prosecutors say the kick was criminal battery and after a jury of 6 women made their verdict Gates will serve 180 days in jail.

Gates said the kick was in self defense.
