Rapper/actors are a dime a dozen these days. And this latest Empire re-casting proves it.

Entertainment Weekly reports today (Sept. 2) that Kid Cudi, who was set to appear on Empire's new season, has left the show and has been replaced by Romeo Miller. Cudi's character, Gram, was meant to be a love interest of Tiana (played by Serayah) and rival to youngest Lyon brother Hakeem (played by Yazz The Greatest).

It was initially announced back in July that Cudder would be joining the cast of the music industry drama but, as the studio now says, Mescudi decided to leave his guest starring role because of “creative differences.” Romeo seems more than happy to fill in for the suddenly absent Cudi. Although Cudi had already shot some scenes and now Miller will have to reshoot them, the former child rap star Romeo is up to the challenge. He even posted his set arrival on Twitter, saying, "Uh ohh" and tagging his newest fictional nemesis. Check it out.

Cudi wasn't the only rapper set to appear in the new season. Xzibit got bumped up to a series regular in his role as Leslie “Shyne” Johnson. French Montana and Birdman are also slated to make guest appearances on the upcoming season.

As for Mr. Solo Dolo, the Cleveland rapper has been dropping sporadic music this year and he announced back in August that his next album, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin', is complete. Maybe he chose to gear up for big album promo and a tour over the acting gig.

Catch Empire return on Fox for its third season on Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. ET.
