Kid Cudi appeared to take a shot at Jhene Aiko and Big Sean today (Aug. 12) on behalf of his friend Dot Da Genius. The Cleveland native subtweeted the Twenty88 duo following the news of Aiko divorcing Dot.

"The funny thing is, we aint sweatin these bum bitches and these corn ball ass niggas," Kid Cudi said. "We too busy makin better music."

Kid Cudi's tweet came in response to a Twitter user who retweeted an old post the rapper directed at Jhene Aiko a few years ago.

"@JheneAiko if u hurt him ill kill u," Kid Cudi wrote in July 2014.

The divorce of Jhene Aiko and Dot Da Genius comes after months of public flirtation between Aiko and Big Sean. The two artists released a self-titled album as the duo Twenty88 back in March, but their relationship became less professional throughout the year.

Rumors of Jhene Aiko and Big Sean dating were fueled by affectionate pictures and interactions the two had on social media. The duo only ramped up the speculation by sharing an onstage kiss at Power 106’s Powerhouse event.

Jhene Aiko's very public fondness for Big Sean was all the more curious considering the secretive nature of her marriage to Dot Da Genius. The former couple was very private about their relationship from its onset. The marriage only went public in March when Dot wished his wife a happy birthday on Instagram. The producer shared a photo of the couple's wedding ceremony in the post.
