Lapeer Officer on Video: "Go To Flint. You Can Kill People."

The uniformed officer was caught on video making the derogatory statements about Flint and the police department.

A conversation between Lapeer County Sheriff Gary Parks and two other officers has been causing a stir on Facebook.

The video, which was posted yesterday, appears to be a conversation about medical marijuana patients. It was recorded in the hallway at the courthouse. One of the officers can be heard saying, "I think they should go to Flint. You can buy whores over there. You can buy pot over there. You can do what you want over there. You can kill people over there. They don’t seem to care."

Some people are questioning the person who recorded the video, but according to the ACLU of Michigan, this is protected under the first amendment.

The Lapeer County Sheriff's Department is launching an investigation and claims that the video is at least a year old.
