"The Block" had always referenced Tayshaun Prince's amazing block of Reggie Miller until Lebron James amazed basketball fans everywhere in game 2 of the NBA Finals.

Now everyone is debating which block should be referred to as simply, "The Block."

I know that my opinion is one sided, but Prince's is still the best block of all time.  I don't want to take anything away from Lebron, but when you break it down the answer is clear.

  • Prince covered the entire length of the floor to make a crucial game saving play.
  • Lebron's happened at an inconsequential point in the game on a no name player.
  • I'm even giving Bron extra points for not flopping after the play and crying for a charging foul.

Both blocks were amazing displays of defense and athleticism, but Prince still holds the crown.  Watch them both and decide for yourself below.

Lebron

or Prince
