It looks like Lil Wayne is celebrating the anniversary of Tha Carter III in a major way. On Tuesday (May 8), the rapper announced that his fourth annual Lil Weezyana Fest will celebrate the release of his epic third installment in Tha Carter series, a project that turns 10 this June.

Weezy unloaded the news through his Instagram account, which includes the poster for  forthcoming event. Needless to say, it should be a pretty fun time for Weezy fans who can make the trip to New Orleans' Champion Square on Aug. 25.

The first Lil Weezyana Fest took place on Aug. 28, 2015, and it's managed to live up to its name since its inaugural run. The special guests for the event, which has seen folks like Drake and Gucci Mane pull up in the past, has yet to be revealed. We have a feeling we'll be seeing some familiar faces, though.

Some 10 years after its release, Tha Carter III remains Weezy's most commercially successful endeavor and it stands as the project that pushed the rapper to new levels of superstardom. Weezy was, of course, already a really big deal after the release of Tha Carter II and mixtapes like Da Drought 3, but Tha Carter III was a sort of coronation.

Promotion for the album began with the release of Weezy's auto-tune-laced, multi-platinum single, "Lollipop." It continued with the Bangladesh-produced rhyme session, "A Milli." Every track slaps, and years later, the project is considered to be one of Weezy's very best.
