Lil Wayne Says He'll Never Work With Birdman Again

Lil Wayne appeared on the latest episode of Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe's Undisputed show on Fox Sports today (Sept. 13) to talk about his scary tweets on potentially retiring, his probems with Birdman and more.

In the video above, Skip asks Wayne whether he really is planning to bow out, and Wayne denies it. "This was a tweet after an argument," said Wayne, and when pressed on what the argument was about, he simply says, "over what's going on."

Sharpe says people think Weezy's problems with Birdman are manufactured, but Wayne makes it clear – "this is business. Once business is involved...I have a family, I have kids, I have a mother. We got bills. Once the business is right, then everything is right. I did feel that way, I didn't take the tweet down because I still feel that way, and until something is done about it, then maybe I'll change."

When asked whether he would ever work with Birdman again if the money issues were resolved, Weezy's answer is simple: "no sir. Give me mine and I'll walk off free."

Wayne also spoke about the outpouring of love from rappers around the industry. He wasn't surprised by Drake and artists close to him showing support, but he does say he was taken aback by messages from artists like Kendrick Lamar and Young Thug.

Over the weekend, Lil Wayne released a new song called "Grateful" naming Baby specifically and saying he'd no longer be releasing any music via Cash Money.
