In the final days of 2016, Soulja Boy used an interview with DJ Vlad to recount the harrowing tale of the time he shot home invaders many years ago. With details that frankly made him seem unrealistically heroic, the story led the Internet to concoct the Soulja Boy Challenge, an activity that calls on folks to upload their own video describing a made-up gangster tale. Lil Yachty and Wale are the latest to join in the new Internet craze.

In Yachty's video, which you can see for yourself up top, the Lil Boat creator plays the part of Soulja, draping himself with Nintendo GameCube controllers as he begins to tell an imaginary account of a time Soulja shot his own uncle. When the person recording the video asks what happened when Yachty pulled his uncle's mask off, the rapper responds with vocally manufactured gun noises, saying his uncle earned those bullets because he tried to scuff his Jordans.

A bit later we see Yachty clutching on what looks like an AK-47 and a fake join as he calls on people to respect him because "he" made "Crank That." He then starts crying because he feels like no one likes listening to his music anymore. Ouch.

Wale's iteration of the Soulja Boy Challenge wasn't as intricate as Yachty's, but it was hilarious in it's own right. In the video, which was recorded during one of Wale's concerts, we see him act as Soulja, saying that he used a water gun and killed himself before coming back to life. You can see that video for yourself near the bottom of this post.

Soulja may be the butt of everyone's joke right now, but that hasn't stopped him from posting outrageous videos on Instagram. Just yesterday (Jan. 2), the "Zan With That Lean" rapper took shots at Chris Brown, claiming that the Royalty artist threatened him for commenting on his ex-girlfriend's photo.
