Spanish artist Salvador Dali is one of the most influential surrealist painters in the world. His most famous painting is "The Persistence of Memory," and if you don't believe us, do your Googles and check it out. The beloved artwork serves as the inspiration for Asics' collaborative sneaker release with Spanish retailer LimitEDition.

The LimitEDition x Asics Gel Lyte V 'Surredaliste' matches the popular painting by way of a brown nubuck upper with hits of orange and blue playing back up. The ankle collar features embroidered ants for a look that isn't too awkward in their homage of Dali.

You don't need a degree in Art History to appreciate this fine work of art. These kicks are certainly less expensive than the painting it replicates.

Look for them today (Jan. 3) at Extra Butter in New York and other sneaker boutiques in the U.S.
