A fifth grade teacher at Hyatt Elementary in Linden is in hot water after he gave his students sample of O'Doul's Non-Alcoholic beer during a history lesson.

WNEM reports that  the teacher allowed students to sample O'Doul's brought to school by a student because it represented what the people in the 1700's had to drink because of the lack of clean drinking water.

The Superintendent says the teacher made an "inappropriate choice." Officials sent a letter home Friday to inform parents about what happened.  No one has been charged at the time and the student will not be disciplined.

Even though O'Doul's is a non-alcoholic beer, it does contain small amounts of alcohol and that has some parents upset.

How would you react if your 5th grader was one of the students in this classroom?
