Lloyd is seeming to be making a little comeback. He had the hit song 'Lay It Down' and now has another nice jam in 'Cupid.' He has an interesting and distinct sound, but how does it  compare to Smokey Robinson of Motown? Check out Lloyd sing 'Tears of a clown.'

It's no secret I like Lloyd's music. I think other than Trey Songz he's the best at making good Pop/R & B music right now. I don't know if that's a compliment or a sad state but never the less that's where the music game is. He tries his hand at a legendary song from a legendary artist Smokey Robinson's (and The Miracles) 'Tears of a Clown.' How do you think he did? I think he sounded good and I liked that there was no special effects and T-Pain'ing going on. Just straight vocals.

Here's Smokey's version...

Ok, I had to throw in one of my favorite Lloyd songs!
