Logic has new a new album on the way, according to a two-minute freestyle posted today (Aug. 28) on Twitter. The so-called "YSIV Freestyle" features some pop culture punchlines and an outro that announces a new album titled Young Sinatra IV will drop on Sept. 28.

The project will be his first full-length since March's chart-topping mixtape Bobby Tarantino II and since singing a reported $30 million deal with Def Jam that same month. His last studio album Everybody dropped in May 2017.

Logic's freestyle, filmed in a large empty room with a concrete floor and a paneled light ceiling, namedrops Uma Thurman, Jay-Z and Patrick Swayze, among other entertainers. He maintains his commitment to throwback production and casts himself as the heir to a list of rap greats.

"Try to play me like I ain't me but I provided all the deets/Who you know worth $50 million and still rapping on break beats?/From Nasty Nas, Big L, Tribe, the Roots, and many more/Of course we could never forget Biggie and Young Shakur," he raps.

The announcement comes on the heels of Logic's appearance at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, where he performed "One Day" accompanied on stage by a group of immigrants wearing t-shirts that read "We are all human beings." That same day, his song "1-800-273-8255" was certified five-times platinum.
