Louisville’s Kevin Ware Suffers Worst Sports Injury in History of College Basketball

If you watched college basketball yesterday, you witnessed the worst injury in the history of college basketball. I did not see the injury or the game but Louisville's Kevin Ware suffered the worst broken leg ever.

Louisville and Duke were locked up for a chance to advance to the next round of the NCAA tourney. Ware was jumping up to block a jump shot and came down horribly causing the right leg to fracture in two separate places. The fracture was so horrific, CBS stopped showing the replay of the injury. While being carted off the court, Ware encouraged his teammates to win the game.

Louisville took the words to heart and beat Duke 85-63 to play against Wichita State University. Ware won't be returning to basketball for a long time. Head Coach Rick Petino expects a year to recover from the injury before Ware can compete on the hoop court.

It is extremely sad that Ware suffered the injury and will not be able to continue to play the game of basketball for a long time. I pray he recovers well and quickly.
