Last night (April 16), Chance the Rapper celebrated his 24th birthday with friends, family, and even fans by throwing a birthday party in Chicago with proceeds going to his nonprofit organization, SocialWorks. While he already got an amazing gift from his brother Taylor Bennett earlier that day, the Chi-Town native let fans buy tickets to the venue. The ticket purchases managed to rack up over $100,000 to go towards SocialWorks, but the highlight of the evening came when Ludacris and T-Pain provided the musical entertainment.

Throwing the party at Studio Paris nightclub, Chance brought both hip-hop veterans to the stage to perform a slew of their biggest hits over the years. Luda had the venue, and even Chance, going crazy to his 2001 hit single “Move Bitch,” as well as his feature verse on Usher’s “Yeah!” while the Atlanta crooner sang the night away with classic records like “Buy U A Drank.” Chance and the Rappa Ternt Sanga eventually came together to turn up the crowd with “All I Do Is Win” before T-Pain gave a heartfelt speech to Chance for his contributions to music—as well as his community.

Later in the evening, Chance made a speech to his fans and loved ones in the crowd, explaining the importance of philanthropy. He emphasized “we are in a time of crisis” and that “it’s important that good people stand up and make a change” while equally important that “we show people how to have fun and how to love.” The MC was also presented with an amazing birthday cake that paid homage to one of his favorite Chicago food spots, Harold’s Chicken Shack.
