It’s finally here! Lupe Fiasco just released DROGAS Light and is available for streaming on Soundcloud. The project is reportedly part of a three-part musical saga: DROGAS Light, Drogas and Skull. Lupe hopes to deliver the other two albums later this year.

For DROGAS Light, the 14-song album boasts trap music-inspired beats and fiery lyrics from Lupe. Among the highlights on the collection include the pointed “NGL (N----s Gonna Lose),” the orchestral banger “Promise,” the strip club ode “Kill” (Featuring Ty Dolla $ign & Victoria Monet) and the hip-pop banger "Pick Up the Phone."

On the soulful “More Than My Heart,” Fiasco raps affectionately about a mother's love. "Now some might think their mama ain't perfect / She is / All in her face, better get in your place / You're one of her goddamn kids," he raps. "Now some might think their mama ain't worth it / She is / Gotta help her out no matter what it's 'bout / No matter whatever she did / Now some might think their mama ain't here."

Overall, DROGAS Light is great project that should satisfy Lupe fans who have been waiting patiently for him to drop this album.

Now that Lupe is an independent artist, the Chicago native is moving on to the next phase of his rap career with his latest indie projects.

“While Drogas Light signifies the beginning of the end for Fiasco, it represents how far he’s come since he first entered the game and merely accents the intellectual breadth of the discography he’ll leave behind,” reads a statement from his reps.
