Macklemore has hit the music scene in a big way with ‘Thrift Shop’, but if you thought he was all about gimmicky, funny Hip Hop this NPR Tiny Desk Concert helps to show his depth.

Macklemore performed three songs while at the NPR Music studios, and in the words of producer Bob Boilen, “There were tears and laughter in the span of about 15 minutes.”

The set starts with ‘Same Love’ which is an inspirational track preaching equality with a focus on gay rights.  The meaning behind the words pour out of the song, and anyone with a heart will feel the genuine message of the song.

If you had thoughts that Macklemore was a one hit wonder, the next 15 minutes will most likely make you change your mind.
