Macklemore Drops New Music + Video For ‘Downtown’

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are back on their game with a new moped that they plan on riding 'Downtown.'

The song definitely has an old school vibe to it, but the video only helps to reinforce the nostalgia with appearances by Kool Moe Dee and Melly Mell.  that the beat puts in your head.

'Downtown' is definitely a playful return to the 'Thrift Shop' style that most of us were introduced to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis with.

Just when you've settled into this upbeat classic track, things switch up and Macklemore throws in a 'Queen-ish' breakdown while riding a chariot.

This is the track that Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are performing Sunday night at the VMA's.  I wonder how many mopeds will actually be on stage.
