What happened to the days of friendly rap battling? Both of these battle rappers were in the wrong, but its videos like this that are really ruining the culture of battle rapping.

Battle Rap is suppose to be a competition between two emcees who use the power of words to destroy one another verbally. After watching some recent videos, it seems like battle rap is anything but that. This is an excellent example of what battle rap is now. The fact that you can't spit bars without using props is sad. I get it, it adds to the show. You used a Slim Jesus theme and you thought it was funny. That's cool. Where you messed up is when you decided to pull out a prop gun and point it. Now, was the other emcee right for slapping the gun out? No. This is one of those situations that escalated too quickly.
