A crazy man is out here in Michigan driving around in what seems to be a dark charger impersonating a police officer. Oh wow, now we have more things to worry about.

Its hard enough to deal with the continuing water epidemic in Flint let alone some nut job running around pretending to be a police officer. My question with all of this is simply "why"? What would possess someone to drive around pretending to be a cop and actually perform cop duties?  What type of enjoyment do you get from pulling people over?

I'm left with more questions than answers with this awkward scenario. Just be safe out there people. The Flint Journal gives a more accurate description below.

The Michigan State Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man believed to be impersonating a police officer in the Upper Peninsula.

According to a news release issued on Monday, there have been multiple reports of a male with no law enforcement affiliation conducting traffic stops in Schoolcraft County.

The suspect is described as a 30-year-old with short, dark hair. He has been seen wearing a brown uniform with no patches and a gold badge. The clothing lacks any identifying tags, police said, and the suspect is claiming to be a recently-hired deputy with the Schoolcraft County Sheriff's Department.

He has been seen driving a dark car, possibly a Dodge Charger, which may have a black brush bar on the front. According to MSP, it also may have a spotlight and a removeable red and blue flashing light bar on the interior of the windshield.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the MSP's St. Ignace Post at 906-643-7582.
