Many ‘Yahoo’ Email Accounts And Passwords Stolen [Report]

If you have a Yahoo email account, you should probably go change the password right now considering there is a chance that it could be one of the many stolen passwords.

Yahoo said the info gathered in the attack seems to be names and email addresses from the affected accounts' most recent sent emails.  However, they didn't say how many accounts were affected.

The most likely source of the hack was a third party site asking people to log in using their Yahoo account.  Then the hackers gain access to the account, and comb for financial information and use the account to send more spam.

If you haven't changed your password yet, Yahoo officials are strongly suggesting you do so as soon as possible.
