Metro Boomin and Gunna do what Post Malone tried to do for 21 Savage at the 2019 Grammy Awards. Last night (Feb. 11), the St. Louis producer and the Georgia artist used their time on a nationally televised platform to stand up for the rapper, who was arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Metro and Gunna took the stage on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform their song "Space Cadet" off the acclaimed producer's recent LP Not All Heroes Wear Capes. Gunna took charge of the show as the lead space cadet as he let loose his understated vocals while wearing a custom-made faux-space suit. Meanwhile, Metro conducted a symphony of astronauts while rocking a white suit with the words "Free 21 Savage" graffiti'd on the back of his coat.

Although they didn't get to say anything on his behalf, Metro made sure to keep his back turned toward the camera at the end of their performance. The performance happened after one of 21's managers Kei Henderson said that their team reached out to several artists to perform "Rockstar" at the 2019 Grammy Awards on the rapper's behalf. Although Post wore 21-supporting shirt during his performance of "Rockstar," the top was covered.
