In an attempt to get people intoxicated on the word of God, one Michigan church is offering first time attendees complimentary beer. The Crossroads Church in Lansing, Michigan recently launched what they are calling “The Upper Room” project, which is aimed at luring people into the church by promising a beer to every first timer.

Although some traditional churches may view free booze as evil, the people at Crossroads consider the drink a gesture of friendship. "We think it communicates something to people that are very leery of church and very leery of the church being very judgmental about things," said Noah Fillipiak, founder of the church.

How much beer would it take to get you into a church?
